Ayesha Raza Farooq
Ms Ayesha Raza Farooq has recently been appointed as Prime Ministers focal person for anti-polio campaign. Currently, she serves as the second Chairperson of the National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC), Pakistan. She is also a partner at Ramday Law Associates and member of board of directors at Salman Sufi Foundation.
After completing her Master’s in Business Administration from the Lahore University of Management Sciences, she secured a degree in law from the Punjab University earning a Gold Medal for topping the list of law graduates. She joined Ramdays in 2009 and attends to the legal as well as quasi-legal matters being handled by the Chamber.
In the year 2013, continuing this work while at Ramdays, she also entered politics; was elected as a Member of the National Assembly and in the year 2015, she was elected as a Member of the Senate of Pakistan. During her period, she was assigned the leadership of Polio Eradication in the country and for the extraordinary services rendered by her in the field, she was honoured by the President of Pakistan by awarding her the Sitara-e-Imtiaz.
